I have been looking at getting a wide angle lens around christmas time for myself but dont want to really spend 650-700 on one. Camera gurus help me out here. I really like the canon 10-22 just not the price too much

Sigma 10-20 is great. If you have the cash, the Canon 10-22 is your best bet. You can get amazing photos from the Sigma as well, though. I've had the Sigma, or Zac did... just be careful, there QC is terrible and you might get a bad lens. If you look hard, alot of the photos taken with them can be soft on the left or right side because they end up decentered.

If you go in the store, play with the lens, and its tack sharp in the edges.. buy it. You found a good one.

thats what andy and matt said too. I found one in nashville someone is selling with a bunch of other stuff for 1k. Gonna see if he will part with just the 10-20. Ill make sure and ask if its a sharp copy too

Sigma 10-20mm if you're shooting a DX size sensor.

Yeah, the Sigma 10-20 would be my preferred lens of choice if I was shooting a crop body Nikon, but the Canon 10-22 is amazing.
