I'm 16, and have had liability since the day I got my license. And I have liability because my dad can't afford full coverage, so I don't drive like a moron, and I take care of my car. The only time I've driven without insurance was when I took my parents car to the store when mine was in the shop, but that's because I had to.

Good luck, but driving is a privilege, and insurance is there for a reason.

everyone thats posted is right - who DIDNT have insurance when they were 16? i know i sure as hell did ... and it was full coverage, actually ... but all you need is liability if you cant afford anything else

I was on my parent's insurance as soon as I had my license. My car didn't leave the driveway until the insurance was paid because you couldn't get tags for the car until you had insurance on the car.
